When did school become an option??

Ok so my in-laws had 2 mid-life babies. Jeremy is 30, Robby is 28, and Brendon is 21. Then there is Samantha 10 and Olivia 8. Just since school statred this year the girls have missed 25 days of school. In fact today granted it was a half day, my mother in law took the girls with her to the navy base. they walk home on a normal day so she didnt have to pick them up and my father in law is at home. When is it that school became optonal? My sister and I were raised that a trp wasnt even a good enough reason to miss school. it just didnt happen. and I totally subscribe to that theroy. Ok so there was that one time the boys missed one day but it was the first week of school and we stayed an extra day in Idaho for their great-grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. But that even my mom said was a good enough reason.

I dont know maybe I am just irritated that they are really trying to be their friends not their parents.

what a difference 2 years makes (and a surgery)

So I just noticed it has been 2 years since my husband, Jeremy had his gyastric bypass surgery. in 2006 he weight in at 435lbs. I love him but even he will say he was a big boy. This weekend I was on our company server trying to find pics my mother in law thought she had lost. I found her pics and a bunch of Jeremy pre-surgery. first here is one of him taken this summer.

I know it is a side view but once you see some of the others you will see the difference. When we started on this journey we were told that without any wieght loss he would be dead in 5 years. Okay our kids were 2, 4, and 5 there was no way I would raise them into teenagers on my own. I was freaked. They did blood work found ut he had high blood pressure, borderline diabetes and thyroid issues ontop of the sleep apnea we had just learned to deal with.

This is Jeremy at the memorial for the Oklahoma City bombing the week after my sister's wedding in March of 2006 (8 months before Surgery). Like I said big boy. At her wedding he was drenched in sweat just helping nick's cousin pull the runner down the isle.

We were ontop of the world when we got the approval letter from the insurance and started making plans. My mom came out here to help with the kids so I could stay in Fresno at the hospital with him and much as possible. My mother-in-law (LaDon) would go with me the day of surgery and sit with me. The date was set November 4, 2006.

I think this is just a random picture LaDon took one day.

So off we went at 4:30 am we had to be at the hospital at by 6 am. It is an hour drive to Fresno from our house. Jeremy had to be the first surgery of the day cause they had to do extra cleaning in the OR. Oh yeah I should mention, Jeremy has a latex allergy. When the surgery was all done Dr. Boone came out told me all was fine, Jeremy did great and that I should go get breakfast it would be 2 hours before we could see him. So LaDon and I went to eat and came back after an hour.

We came back to wait and this little old lady was at the desk telling people when they could go see their family member. When it was my turn I was told to go and meet a nurse no one else had to meet a nurse but here I was walking torwards the nurse. He told me to follow him and as we went thout he door I noticed the sign Surgical ICU. My heart sank I knew he was talking but i couldnt here him. We get to Jeremy's bedside and dot head doctor couldnt speak english very well was telling me he stop breathing in recover several time. Jeremy's ICU nurse must have read the look and my face and interjected that it was due to the sleep apena. Here is a thought Dr. dumbass lead with that info next time. Jeremy was fine but since he was in ICU i could only see him for 5 minutes every 2 hours he told me to go home.

LaDon and I drove home and i was fine until I hit my house and found my mom. She is still my rock. She listen and helped me by calling the hosptial until they moved him so we could go see him.

Within a month the diabetes was gone and his blood pressure wsa normal. by 3 months the sleep apena was gone and he stopped snoring. by 6 months his thyroid was starting to work properly again.

He is a new man and father. He plays with the kids. He dosent get tired just walking to the car. I loved him before but dare I say I love him more. I know my kids enjoy him more.

This was when we took my friend Kim up to the Sequia National Forest this summer. 2 years ago we would not have done this.

I Hate Being Sick

So I was sick yesterday, not the flu but still enough to knock me out for the day. By the time the Kids and Jeremy got home I was feeling better but I am still alittle achy today.

This is the first time in a long time i was able to just be sick. Kids all went to school and then the Y. and jeremy did not make me feel guilty for missing work. My in-laws did not call about stupid work stuff. I really think it has gotten thou to them that work needs to stay at work or we will all die an early age. The call me like i should know everything right off the top of my head.

Anyways as far as a sick day goes it was the best i could ask for.

This is me

So I guess I will start at the beginning. I am 28 years old wife and mother of 3 children. 2 boys and 1 girl. My boys are Kaleb who is 7 and Carter who is 6. and then there is daddy's little girl Aubrey who is 4 going on 16. They are all my sister's curse. when mom said I would have kids that were worse then me she didn't say they would be worse then Rachel (my sister). I should take up stock in the local emergency room.

Jeremy is my husband and the love of my life. We met in 1993 while I was dating his best friend. When his friend and I broke up we started dating and lasted for a year and a half. My dad and my father-in-law retired from the navy the same week. They moved to Jacksonville, FL, where we stayed in Washington for 6 months untill we moved to the middle of a corn field in Illinois. Growing up mom had a rule no calls after 9 pm, if there were she would tell them in not so polite way that we could not talk and hang up on them. So when one day at 3 am she came into my room and told me i had a phone call i was a bit lost. It was Jeremy, and the rest is history. We have been married 10 years this coming Febuary.

As for me I work for my in-laws at their HVAC company, currently covering the entire accounting department until the new accountant starts 4 more days. I love to do crafts, i am trying polymer clay. but love sewing (made the kids costumes)

This is Aubrey as a Gypsi

Kaleb as Darth Vadar

Carter as Harry Potter (that is the kids Aunt with him)

I also love to knit and scrapbook I am kinda all over the place.
Okay I should go do some work now. I will tell you about the family next time.
